New cars/sedans must have an MSRP ≤ $55,000; SUVs, trucks, and vans ≤ $80,000. Used EVs must sell for ≤ $25,000 to qualify for the used-vehicle credit.
Can I get the credit at the dealer?
Since 2024, eligible buyers can transfer the credit to the dealer as an upfront discount at the point of sale, rather than waiting to claim it on their tax return.
